Dick was instrumental in the founding of PCPG and in the development and enactment of Professional Geologist License in Pennsylvania. Dick will be missed by the profession, and by PCPG members and friends alike who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., of Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the “Dick and Gwen Wright Endowed Scholarship Fund” c/o F&M College, PO Box 3003, Lancaster PA 17604-3003. This was established in 1987 through a gift from Richard and Gwen Wright, and is used to provide scholarship funds for students who have established a record of noteworthy academic achievement and have demonstrated financial need.
