Moody and Associates, Inc. started the day by attending the Annual Real Estate Breakfast co-hosted by the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance, an affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, and NAIOP Pittsburgh. Attendees started off the day with a great breakfast followed by networking with members of the industrial and commercial real estate industry and other key stakeholders.
Matt Smith, Chief Growth Officer for the Allegheny Conference, spoke to the fact that sites need to be available and ready to go and PA must match the efforts of surrounding states to successfully attract these companies and jobs they bring.
Keynote speaker, Lt. Governor Austin Davis said PA is OPEN FOR BUSINESS and discussed the goals of the current administration to make Pennsylvania a leader in growth and development.
Finally, Patty Horvatich, SVP Business Investment for the PRA, moderated the panel consisting of Bob Breisinger, Mascaro Construction; Brandon Mendoza, NAIOP Pittsburgh; Lisa Nentwick, First Energy; Scott Ziance, Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. Topics of discussion were related to the opportunities, challenges and changes that are needed to get PA on the right path to be competitive in attracting large corporations and their megasites.
