This morning, NAIOP Pittsburgh held their March Chapter Meeting at the Rivers Club in downtown Pittsburgh. This morning’s meeting covered Pittsburgh’s new economic development agenda. The panel was moderated by Lance Chimka from Michael Baker International with panel members consisting of Steve Wray, Director of Economic Development, City of Pittsburgh, and Mary McKinney Flaherty, Deputy Director of Economic Development, City of Pittsburgh. On the heels of Mayor Corey O’Connor’s comprehensive overhaul of the city’s permitting and development operations, the topics of conversation ranged from permitting, zoning, Mainstreet redevelopment, housing and the attraction/development/growth of businesses on an international, regional and small business platform. Jim Lyle from Moody was able to listen in on the remarks as part of a large audience for another monthly breakfast meeting from NAIOP Pittsburgh.
