The Wheeling Area Chamber closed the books on another outstanding event with their 2024 Economic Outlook Conference on Wednesday, October 16th at the Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino & Racetrack. Moody’s Jim Lyle joined attendees who heard from David H. McKinley, President & Chief Investment Officer at McKinley Carter Wealth Services, regarding the global and national economic outlook. John Deskins, Ph.D., Professor of Economics at West Virginia University spoke on the West Virginia and Wheeling Area economic outlook. Last but certainly not least, a variety of panelists spoke regarding 3 different “Re-imagining” panels about Tourism & Economic Development, AI & “Workforce Initiatives and The Region: The Future is now”.
