The New Year kicked off this morning with an annual tradition, as a large audience joined NAIOP Pittsburgh and BOMA Pittsburgh for the 2026 State of the Economy Breakfast at the Rivers Club in downtown Pittsburgh. For the 15th straight year, PNC Chief Economist Gus Faucher gave his annual prognostication on the local, state and national economies. After Gus’ presentation, RIDC President Donald Smith joined Gus on the stage for some further economic interaction along with some Q&A with the audience. Jim Lyle and Jeff Walentosky from Moody were in attendance for this annual economic “check-in” with NAIOP Pittsburgh.
